Univers was founded on 11 August 2020 in Spain by Ahmed F.M. Hamdan with a proposition that most technology companies avoid: intelligence infrastructure must be sovereign, and sovereignty cannot be an afterthought.
The observation driving Univers was precise. Enterprise technology in 2020, and the AI wave accelerating behind it, was being built on a set of architectural assumptions that almost every serious organisation would eventually find untenable: dependency on external infrastructure, data processed in foreign jurisdictions, intelligence that belongs to the vendor rather than the client.
Univers was designed to build a different kind of company, one where every system, every deployment, and every layer of intelligence remains under the governance of the organisation it serves.

Ahmed F.M. Hamdan founded Univers on 11 August 2020 in Spain with a straightforward proposition: the organisations that will define the next generation of human systems need intelligence infrastructure that they actually own.
Hamdan conceived Univers as an architecture problem before it was a business problem. The seven divisions, eight proprietary systems, and the Univers Brain™ cognitive architecture all emerged from a design process that began with a question rather than a product roadmap: what would a fully sovereign intelligence company look like if built correctly from the outset? The answer became Univers.
